Every lead acid battery contains toxic material that makes it greatly important to wear all protective equipment to keep you safe.
Mishandling a live battery may cause electrical shorts than can severely harm an individual
During charging, batteries can produce hydrogen gas that can become explosive!
Always add water after a charge.
Use distilled water or approved tap water.
Add water only when needed.
Make sure to install a battery water monitor.
Charge and change in designated areas only.
Connect the battery plug to a compatible charger.
Check the cables and plug.
Utilize P.P.E (i.e. face shield, glasses, rubber apron and gloves).
Never over or under charge the battery. Excessive charging can lead to corrosion of positive plates and plate warping. Undercharging can cause sulfate to accumulate on the negative plates in each cell.
